Invasive Species: Aqua-Virus
Video Stills

"Human vulnerability in relation to FOOD, and ourselves, our lives, and our society at large is an issue that is affected by political, economic, social, and cultural components… In our era, human rights issues are still precar- ious where political, governmental, and insti- tutional protections remain fragile around the world. We seek to generate digital visual art- work concerning this discourse of vulnerability in relation to power, food, and pedagogy"
(Black, 2016).

I created this artwork in order to discuss the issue of factory farming from an artistic perspective to represent the negative impact of invasive salmon. In this artwork I address the alarming practice of aquaculture in British Columbia.
